limewire

a quick plug for what i've found to be the best p2p software out there, limewire. it's like kazaa in its ability to search for music and other files but is free of all the spyware and assorted crap that comes with kazaa.

I use Shareaza which has an annoying habit of dominating my internet bandwidth and not letting me do anything else on the net while it is running.

that suprnova.org site is interesting... but d00d what is a .torrent? looks like broadband is needed. my 28.8 connection just won't hack it.

yeah suprnova is sweet. but yeah..if you are on a 56k, you probably aren't going to want to even bother.

Mac users, there are many Bit Torrent clients but the best Limewire one (better than Limewire.org itself) is Acquisition (at http://www.xlife.org) I haven't used it in a while (the iTunes Music Store is great) but it's got a really good UI and worked very fast.
