milk plus
the bovine-themed restaurants are quite popular with students as the original locations were in the siam square area near chulalongkorn university.
for a country that's supposed to be not so keen on dairy products, having a milk restaurant strikes me as a bit strange. i can't imagine such a thing existing in america where dairy is much more accepted as part of one's diet. of course when bill heinecke opened up his first pizza hut in thailand he was told it'd fail because thais don't like cheese- so anything's possible. super-size me!

I like Milk Plus! (Also my dad)
you have to keep in mind that this is a culture that will eat scoops of coconut ice cream out of a hot dog bun. and if you're lucky, there's a frozen egg yolk inside your ice cream scoop. yuck.
Well I thought eating Thai food in England was insanity, but somehow, just somehow I manaaged to get used to it. Next thing you know, English people will be eating Hamburgers or spaghetti or something !
Ohh milk plus .. i havent been there for ages.... but i find nothing there interesting.
it is like a hang out for teenagers to sip some thing and have a chit chat before they can decide where to go next.
I prefer "Mon Num sod" near the Bkk govt. house than the milk plus store. the milk seems to be more creamier than usual thai milk and the snaks are delicious but this particular milk cafe opens in the afternoon till late nite.. and most of the time is packed of ppl.
Well there used to be a milk craze in Thailand maybe about 4 years ago where everyone was eating milk favored slices of bread. Well the fad died out, along with along of shops, only the fitest such as Milk Plus survived.
Personally the shop that I liked alot is somewhere off the democracy monument. I don't remember the name of it, but its around there :P
wow milk-flavored slices of bread! i wonder if they'll come up with bread-flavored milk to complete the circle.
i actually like the ice cream in bread. reminds me a little bit of the old ice cream sandwiches with that chocolate cookie crust thing.
pisal - that's "mon nom sod" near the democracy monument, same place that xtercy is talking about. it my favorite sweetened-condensed-milk-and suguar-on-toast place. went there a lot during my young days in undergrad.
I'm not sure about "milk flavored" but some of my Korean friends have what they call "milk bread" that is actually quite good. It's like a really soft white bread that isn't as artificial as Wonder. Perfect for sandwiches or french toast.
that is pretty bizarre. i guess about as strange as having oxygen bars here in the states. i guess ppl figured out that they could get oxygen for free...so that idea didn't last very long. :D haha
DOes anyone have the contact no and office no for MILK PLUS????
Any one have the contact no and office no for MILK PLUS.

OMG i love milk plus. The ice cream and bread is surprisingly really good. and chicken flavored bread sticks. and the best toast with butter and heavy amounts of sugar!
