back in black
has been a while since i've made any entries here. the past two months have been busy, of course, with travel here and there mixed in with a great deal of work and a pinch of r&r.
strangely enough, this site seems to have grown in popularity since i stopped posting. it's now averaging 262 sessions per day, up from around 200 a couple of months ago when i was still writing. perhaps that's a hint!
the most popular blog is the robomaid entry from last year. this site ranks 8th on a google search for robomaid, bringing in the punters. the most popular keyword is robomaid.
my brief post about firewall issues in china, 'proxified', is the second most popular page here. it seems proxified isn't really a word and so isn't used much causing my blog comes to up 3rd on a google search.
last month there was a flurry of activity on my blog on mike the headless chicken, suggesting a link was posted somewhere though i can't see it in the referrals.
all this is a bit odd considering much of my page is about thailand and asia. it seems from looking at the keywords that writing about obscure topics is the way to go if one wants to bring in traffic to a site such as thing one. that's not really my objective, though, as too much traffic can be a negative.
seems the only way i can keep traffic down is to drive people away by writing again. let's see what happens....
